PURPOSE
Open to brass and percussion performers of all ages, the primary goal of the Mid-Atlantic Brass Band Festival's solo competitions is to provide a supportive competitive environment where participants can compete and receive extensive feedback on their individual performance. Participants can look forward to educational suggestions for improvement from the area's leading experts in the fields in which they compete. Non-competing festival attendees are welcomed (and encouraged) to observe and support competing soloists.

Accompanists
Accompanists are required for the college and adult competitions (unless the piece is written as unaccompanied). The MABBF does not supply accompanists, but we do work to supply information of area accompanists who are available on these dates. As more accompanists confirm their availability, more will be added. Participants are responsible for contacting their own accompanists and scheduling any needed rehearsal times in advance.
